Meet the Bloggers
Hi everyone!! Welcome to our new blog. I am Kelly and my husband Nick and I are completely new to the blogging world.
At least once a week, we would talk about all different aspects of Disney that we thought we should share with the world, so we decided to finally take the plunge and start a blog to share the things we love about Disney from the rumors and breaking news to our favorite food and drink and all of the deals we find on Disney merchandise. But before we share our love of all things Disney with you, we should give you a little background about us.
We met when I moved back home from California after attending law school in San Diego and practicing law out there for a couple years after graduation. Deciding to make the move back home to New England was a tough decision – after all San Diego pretty much has the perfect climate and endless opportunities. I packed up my life and my dog Lily and made the trip back home one last time. Shortly thereafter, Nick and I started dating and the rest is history as they say.
For our first vacation together, we decided to plan a long weekend trip. Somehow we came up with going to Universal Studios in Orlando (looking back I have no idea how landed on this and not Disney). After spending an abundance of money on admission and lunch, we spent about six hours at Universal and we were over it. We headed back to our hotel and decided to head over to Disney.
I was 27 years old and it was my first time going to Disney World!! Growing up my parents couldn’t afford the expense of a family vacation. I didn’t even travel on a plane until I was 15 years old and it was only because my brother went to college across the country. I had no real background or knowledge going into it but I had Nick to guide me and I immediately fell in love with the energy and ambiance as we walked down Main Street, USA.
Nick grew up going to Disney with his family every few years. In fact, his grandfather was such a big fan of Disney that he worked at the Disney Store, attended several conventions, and even has his picture at Leave a Legacy in Epcot. Nick spent so much time with his grandfather that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
From that trip forward, Disney World has been the only place we vacation at least once a year. It has become our “happy place” and our home away from home. We have founds way to incorporate our love for Disney into our everyday lives and we look forward to sharing our passions with you.
We hope that you can score some great deals and tips from our blog, and we look forward to this journey with you!
