What Are Extra Magic Hours?

Each day one of the four parks will either open early or stay open later for those staying on Walt Disney World property.

This event at one time was paid and called E-Ride Nights. Now this additional time is included as part of your resort reservation.

As long as you have a park ticket for the day and hotel reservation linked to your ticket or MagicBand you can head in early or stay late.

When scanning your ticket media in the morning the tapstile will confirm you have access to this service.

When staying late guests will have to scan their ticket media at the entrance to each attraction in order to enjoy the service.

What Are The Hours?

The extra magic hours usually afford you 1-2 hours of early entry or staying late in the park.

Resort busses will accommodate these hours for you so you can use the complimentary services. Boats, monorails and the gondolas will not be running.

You can check the look ahead schedule on the Disney website to see which parks are offering Extra Magic Hours on any given date.

What Is Open During These Hours?

At Magic Kingdom guests will be able to enjoy most of the attractions, shopping and dining options on Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland and Tomorrowland in the morning.

At night guests will be able to enjoy all lands of the park. In the Summer months Magic Kingdom can be open as late as 2AM!

Epcot offered guests the ability to enjoy all of Future World in the morning as well as Frozen Ever After. This lets resort guests try and knock out one or both of the two E-ticket attractions; Soaring Around The World and Test Track.

At Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom there are no restrictions for land access. Every shop and dining location will not be open but guests can explore the whole park.

At the time of writing this Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be opening next month and Disney has already announced Extra Extra Magic Hours for Hollywood Studios.

This will give guests an additional hour, daily, every morning at the park; meaning 6AM-9AM. These additional hours will only be offered the first initial months of opening.
