This holiday season Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be getting into the festive spirit. All across the park, including millions of miles away in Pandora, holiday overlays will take over.
Discovery Island will be decorated in hand-crafted white decorations by the people who live on the islands. All of the shops and buildings will be lined and decorated with colorful animal luminaries.
During the day life-sized holiday puppets in the form of reindeer, foxes, polar bears and penguins will roam the streets to interact with guests. Live musicians will fill the land with holiday songs.
At night ‘Tree of Life Awakens’ will tell new holiday stories with the use of projections and holiday music. Between showings the Tree of Life will continue to shimmer holiday cheer.
The land will be decorated for ‘Donald’s-Dino Bash!’ in the fun style of Donald and his pals. At night Chip ‘N’ Dale will party and play games with guests at the ‘Holiday Hoopla Dance Party.’
Guests will get to experience the celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights. The land will be decorated with festive glowing flowers, lanterns and more.
The entertainment in Harambe will merge Western traditions with African culture. Inside Tusker House Donald, Mickey and friends will dine with guests and spread holiday cheer.
The inhabitants of Pandora will mix pieces from Earth and Pandora to create decorations at Pongu Pongu..
