An Introduction to Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is the park that started it all in Central Florida.
Opening October 1, 1971, Magic Kingdom opened as an East Coast Disneyland. While not the original plan, Roy Disney thought it the best route with Walt Disney’s passing.
Roy wanted to ensure that even with his brother’s passing, his final dream was realized.
This rich history is what drives this park still to this day.
Millions of guests enter the gates of Magic Kingdom each day to relive and discover the magic.
