Opening in 1984, Morocco is not an opening day pavilion. Morocco also holds the honor of being the only pavilion by the host country’s government and not a corporation.
The Moroccan government was very involved with the creation of the pavilion. Artisans were sent to Epcot to help design and create the pavilion.
This is mainly due to the religious beliefs in the art and mosaics across the pavilion, with no representations of people – as only God can create life.
The pavilion is very deep and winding, designed after a city marketplace.
The Morocco Pavilion does not feature any attractions.
