Top 5 Character Meals

Character meals are a dining experience where your favorite Disney characters will come around to each table while dining to take pictures and sign autographs.

Today we’re going to look at the Top 5 Character Meals across property.

Buffets, in general, at Disney World are expensive, but the benefit of not need to use a FastPass or wait in long lines to meet characters is nice.

Chef Mickey’s

Chef Mickey’s at Contemporary Resort features a high energy breakfast or dinner character meal feature the Fab 5.

This is one of the best places to get photos and autograph’s of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. The characters here are dressed in chef outfits making for a unique photo op.

The food here is buffet style and fairly decent compared to some other buffets on property. The other nice thing about this restaurant is that you can walk right over to Magic Kingdom park!

This ADR goes fast so make sure it is something that you are booking right at your 180 day window.

Cape May Café

Cape May Café is located at the Beach Club Resort. This location is great because many people still do not really know about it making availability fairly easy.

This meal again features members of the Fab 5 including Donald and Daisy. The characters here are dressed in their swim/beach attired.

Like Chef Mickey’s a great benefit to this location is your are steps away from Epcot or a boat/gondola to Hollywood Studios.

This is a great location for breakfast before heading to the parks.

Askershus Royal Banquet Hall

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, is a unique character meal as it features all of your favorite Disney princesses.

Cinderella, Belle, Ariel and others come table to table to greet with the young guests.

There is a Photopass photographer on hand to capture the special moments of meeting the princesses.

A benefit of dining here as well is that it gets you back into World Showcase before it opens at 11AM.

While Frozen Ever After will not be open, if you time it right you could be one of the first in line when it does.

Bon Voyage Breakfast

Bon Voyage Breakfast is held at Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk. This meal is strictly breakfast but is not a buffet.

I wanted to include this meal on the list as it is one of the few places that you can interact with Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder.

The menu here is plated in lieu of the standard buffet, which makes it great for older guests.

The Crystal Palace

The Crystal Palace, at the end of Main Street in Magic Kingdom is a fan favorite location.

This buffet services breakfast, lunch and dinner. One makes this location a fan favorite is that guests can interact with your favorite characters from Winnie the Pooh!

This location is very popular and it is highly recommended to book this 180 days out.

There are tons of other character experiences across property with specific characters. You can dine with Mary Poppins at the Grand Floridian, Snow White at Wilderness Lodge, or even your favorite Disney Junior characters at Hollywood Studios.
